((Okie dokie ))
Mstpaw sits in camp, cleaning her paws. How come I never get to go fight, how I always have to be the good little apprentice, Mistpaw thought angrily. Her rsonable side said, It's for the good of the clan, I'm probably just not ready yet.

Hazelclaw pads up to Grayfur. "You and Mintpaw could go hunting today, with Mistpaw and Firetail." Hazelclaw mews. "Grayfur, you will lead the patrol. Go gather up the cats I mentioned and tell them I said to go hunting," Hazelclaw mews as he pads over to the bottom of the high ledge.
"Cold Wind is approaching, so I'm arranging more hunting patrols to fill our belly's before Cold Wind is here." Hazelclaw announces. "Goldenowl and Hawkpaw, you two go hunting with Grayfur and his patrol. Nightwhisper, take Treepaw and another cat to go gather moss for the dens." Hazelclaw mews as he heads to the warriors den to take a well rewarded sleep.

Grayfur nods. He gather's up the cats on his patrol and walks out of the camp. "Where should we go hunting?" Grayfur asks.
"What about the forest?" Mintpaw suggests.
"Or the moor!" Hawkpaw adds quickly.
"We could split up, since we have such a big hunting patrol," Grayfur meows. "Mintpaw, Hawkpaw, and I will hunt in the forest. Goldenowl will lead the hunting party that will hunt on the more. Mistpaw and Firetail will go with you," Grayfur mews. "Will that work?" He asks.
"That sounds great!" Mintpaw and Treepaw mew at the same time. They look at each other embarrassingly. Mintpaw gets a warm, fuzzy feeling inside her. She quickly looks away. She heads toward the forest.
Treepaw hurries and quickly pads up to her, their pelts touching.
Grayfur stiffles a mrrow of laughter at the way the two apprentices are acting. He follows Mintpaw and Treepaw into the forest.

Mintpaw sniffs the air and scents a squirrel. She starts stalking toward the squirrel, unaware that Treepaw was stalking that same exact squirrel. The squirrel was in her sight and she quietly stalks a few more tail lengths and gets ready to jump. Right as she was about to jump, Treepaw jumps and kills the squirrel. Mintpaw sat there awed and angered at the same time, that she didn't smell Treepaw, and that he caught the squirrel before she did.

Treepaw had smelt a squirrel and stalked it, unaware the Mintpaw was stalking the same squirrel. He had pounced on it and killed it, just a moment before she did. He dropped the squirrel on the ground and saw the anger in her eyes. "I- I'm sorry I caught the squirrel that you were stalking," Treepaw mews as he stares at the ground.
"It's okay," Mintpaw mews as her eyes soften.

Grayfur tracks down Treepaw, who had caught a plump squirrel. "Come on, we need to head back to camp before it gets any darker," Grayfur mews around his mouth full of sparrow.
Treepaw nods and picks up his squirrel. He follows Grayfur.
Grayfur tracks down Mintpaw who had caught 3 mice. "Come on, we need to get back to camp. Before it get's any darker," Grayfur mews again around his mouth full of sparrow.
Mintpaw nods and picks up her 3 mice by their tails and carries them back to camp.

Grayfur walks into camp, the two apprentices following. He takes the sparrow to the queens. He see's they're sleeping and quietly drops the sparrow in front of Flowerwhisker. He pads out of the nursery and heads to the warriors den and curls up in his nest and quickly falls asleep.

"We should take some prey to the elders, and to Mapletail," Mintpaw mews as she drops her prey on the fresh-kill pile. She grabs one of the mice she caught and takes it to Mapletail. She quietly puts the mouse in the Medicine cat's den and heads to the apprentice's den. She curls up in her nest and falls fast asleep.

Treepaw nods and drops his squirrel on the fresh-kill pile. He grabs a vole and takes it the Rivereyes in the elders den. He drops the vole in front of Rivereyes.
"Thanks Treepaw! I've been waiting forever for someone to bring me something to eat," Rivereyes jokes.
"You're welcome," Treepaw mews with some laughter in his voice. He pads out of the elders den and heads toward the apprentice's den. He curls up in his den and falls fast asleep.

*Morning*

Hazelclaw stretches, and quietly pads out of the warriors den. He grabs a mouse and quickly devours it. He then heads over underneath the high ledge. "Time to announce the morning patrols!" Hazelclaw mews as the cats that are awake gather around him.
"I will lead the NightTribe border patrol." Hazelclaw meows. "I will take Honeynose, Cherrypaw, and Swiftwhisker." Hazelclaw says. "Nightwhisper will lead the StormTribe border patrol. She will take Treepaw and Applefur with her." Hazelclaw mews as he finishes announcing the morning border patrols. "Sandfur, you will lead a hunting patrol. You will take Cloudpaw, Grayfur, and Mintpaw." Hazelclaw instructs.
Hazelclaw motions for his patrol to follow him.

Sandfur heads to the warriors den and prods Grayfur awake. "Grayfur! You're on the morning hunting patrol! Come on!" Sandfur mews.
Grayfur wakes up to being prodded. He hears Sandfur tell him he's on the morning hunting patrol and gets up and stretches. He nods to her and heads out into the clearing to wait for her.
Sandfur heads out of the warriors den and quickly pads over to the apprentices den. She prods Mintpaw awake. "You're on the morning hunting patrol! Get up!" Sandfur mews.
Mintpaw wakes up unwillingly to being prodded in the side by Sandfur. "What? Oh... I'll be there in a minute," Mintpaw mews as she stretches and licks her fur. She quickly pads out into the clearing behind Sandfur.
Sandfur pads out of the apprentices den and heads over by Grayfur and Cloudpaw. "I think we are going to hunt in the forest, since it seems to have more prey." Sandfur tells her patrol.
Grayfur nods agreeing.
Sandfur smiles appreciating the senior warrior's support. She hadn't led very many patrols, so she was sort of nervous about leading the patrol. She padded out of the camp and headed toward the forest.
She met the rest of her patrol in a small clearing. She had caught a squirrel.

Mintpaw met the patrol in the small clearing where they had agreed to meet at sun high. She had only caught a small mouse because she was too busy thinking about Treepaw, and kept stepping on twigs and leaves while she was stalking prey.

Grayfur met the rest of the patrol in the small clearing with a rabbit dangling from his jaws.

Mistpaw went hunting as told and caught a rabbit and a starling. She like hunting on the moor, her long quick legs making her good at catching rabbits.

Mistpaw yawned and stalked out of the apprentices den to see the last patrol leave, she sighed and ate the starling she had caught yesterday. She wanted to go on more border patrols.

Hazelclaw and his patrol return to the camp. Hazelclaw told his patrol to catch something on the way back and he had caught a small vole. He dropped the vole on the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a mouse. Hazelclaw padded over to lay down and eat his mouse in the shade of the high ledge. Who should I have be on the dusk border patrols? Hazelclaw mutes to himself. Mistpaw hasn't been on a border patrol in a long time. I guess Firetail could lead a patrol, with Mistpaw and Swiftwhisker... They could patrol the NightTribe border. Hazelclaw decides. I need to take Cloudpaw to the training hollow, so Cloudpaw and I are out of the patrols. He reminds himself. So, Applefur could lead the StormTribe border patrol with Grayfur and Mintpaw. Hazelclaw thinks thoughtfully. Goldenowl, Hawkpaw, Nightwhisper, and Treepaw will do the dusk hunting patrol. Hazelclaw thinks as he finishes the last bite of his mouse. He gets up. "Time to announce the dusk patrols!" Hazelclaw announces.
"Firetail will lead a patrol to check the NightTribe border. He will take Mistpaw and Swiftwhisker with him. Applefur will lead the StormTribe border patrol with Grayfur and Mintpaw. Goldenowl will lead the hunting patrol with Hawkpaw, Nightwhisper and Treepaw." Hazelclaw finishes. "Cloudpaw! You will come to the training hollow with me," Hazelclaw meows as he motions for his apprentice to follow him.
Applefur nods and signals for the cats in his patrol to follow.
Grayfur nods and puts him tail on Mintpaw's shoulder. "Come on, we're on a patrol," He purrs with amusement.
Mintpaw was staring at Treepaw. She jolts back into real life when Grayfur puts his tail on her shoulder. "I knew that!" She mews defensively.

Hazelclaw pulls to a stop in the training hollow. "Cloudpaw, I want you to learn this move," Hazelclaw says. "Watch carefully what I do," Hazelclaw says as he rolls underneath an invisible cat and pretends to scratch the cat's belly and quickly rolls out from underneath the cat. "Did you see what I did?" Hazelclaw asks. "What you're doing is scratching them, and or knocking the wind right out of them. I came up with this move when I was an apprentice!" Hazelclaw meows to his apprentice.

Mistpaw smiled and took her rabbit to the elders dens. She had to make sure the elders got food.

Rivereyes nodded her appreciation and devoured the rabbit.

"Does your nest needing cleaning yet?" Mistpaw asked. She wanted to make sure she was taking care of all of her responsibilities.

"Um, I think I could use some new moss. Thanks Mistpaw!" Rivereyes mews thankfully.

"Ok, I'll go get some more after I clear out the old," Mistpaw said as she walked over to Rivereyes' nest. She took all the old moss and left it outside the side. She gathered some moer moss and brought it back the elders den and laid it in Rivereyes' nest. "Need anything else?" Mistpaw asked.

"No I think that's it. Thanks Mistpaw," Rivereyes meows.

"Ok!" Mistpaw says and leaves the elders den. Then she sits in a sunny patch to wait for Firetail.

Cloudpaw nodded and then he tried it at Hazelclaw, but his paw gave way and he stumbled underneath. He quickly cursed and rolled out, knocking Hazelclaw over. He inspected his paw and started to lick it fiercely.

"Are you okay?" Hazelclaw asks. "Or do you want to start with an easier move since we haven't trained in a long time?"
Hazelclaw mews.

"I think, it's because of my foot. A wolf fell on it during the fight." Cloudpaw mewed. His voice shook slightly, and his eyes had a hint of pain.

"Well, that's not good." Hazelclaw lets the apprentice know. "We can try some simpler moves and let me know right away when your foot starts hurting again. Watch what I do," Hazelclaw says. He jumps into the air and pretends to jump on a warriors back. "This is a two cat move," Hazelclaw mews. He pretends to batter the warrior's back and holds him down with his weight. "A heavier cat needs to be on the enemy cat's back holding him down, while the other cat does this." Hazelclaw mews as he explains the move. He jumps off of the warrior and swiftly pretends to scratch the warrior's sides. Moving from one side to the other. "Do you think you could try that on me? Adjust it to fit your paw problem," Hazelclaw instructs.

Cloudpaw gazed at Hazelclaw, in slight surprise. Then he looked at Hazelclaw again, seriousness showing in his gaze. He stood up and jumped, twisting as he did so to crash on Hazelclaw half on hjis back, half on his side.

Hazelclaw buffets into the ground. Suprised that Cloudpaw did that instead of the move he had taught his apprentice. Hazelclaw scrambles to his paws ready for Cloudpaw to attack him again. "Nice move. A lot of strength. But you will have to use strength and use your smarts to get me down and beat me," Hazelclaw says slyly. Hazelclaw feints to the side and rakes Cloudpaw's side, claws sheathed. Hazelclaw keeps running. He runs up the tree in front of him and does a back flip landing on Cloudpaw's shoulders. He smiles with that sly smile and batters Cloudpaw's back, claws still sheathed.

Cloudpaw ducked down and rolled, then struggled free. He rushed up a tree, and hid in the branches, looking at Hazelclaw. The leaves hid his pelt, and his eyes peeked out.

Hazelclaw looks around. He saw Cloudpaw go up a tree. But he didn't know which one. Hazelclaw climbs a tree too, so Cloudpaw can't jump on him. He jumps from tree to tree looking for his apprentice.

Cloudpaw heard a rustle, and he jumped down and rolled into the roots of a tree and jumped onto the roots.

Hazelclaw heard Cloudpaw jump down and also jumped down. "It's a whisker to whisker fight now, huh? Who's gonna make the first move? You always have to think about that Cloudpaw. I'm the-" Hazelclaw cuts off as he jumps onto Cloudpaw and shoves him with both his forepaws onto the ground. "Attacker." Hazelclaw finishes. He lets Cloudpaw get up then jumps right back in to fight, trying to tire the young apprentice out. He scratches Cloudpaw's flank, claws sheathed. He jumps back and gives his apprentice some time to think and attack him.

(Hey, no fair ._.)
Cloudpaw hopped away before Hazelclaw could touch him and then lept up high, twisted and brought his paw down then, landed and pretend bit Hazelclaw's hind leg. Then Cloudpaw hopped backward.

(Ok, I need someone to pair up with Firetail so he can try and take over the Tribe and fail epicly. 8D)

"Come on, Mistpaw." Firetail mewed impatiently. "We need to battle train."
He walked into the clearing, not waiting for his apprentice.

Mistpaw raced after Firetail, skidding to a stop enthusiasticly when she raeched the clearing. "What you gonna teach me?" Mistpaw asked.

"I think we've done enough training. Let's take a break..."Hazelclaw mews.

"Ok, now, just attack me." Firestar mewed impatiently."Pretend I'm a NightTribe warrior crossing the border to steal prey."
