The kits are coming! Honeynose panicked in her mind.
"Someone! Please go get Mapletail!"

Grayfur heard his mate. He rushes up to Mapletail. "HONEYNOSE IS HAVING HER KITS!" He yells as he bursts into the medicine cat's den.

Mapletail had been sorting herbs when Grayfur burst into her den.
Before she had time to ask what was going on, he rushed out.
Mapletail ran to the nursery.
Honeynose lay there, breathing heavily.
The first kit came out. It was a tom. It had white with black tiger markings and ice blue eyes.
The second was a grey tom with dark green eyes, like his father.
The third tom was also grey with green eyes, but it had a darker grey tail.
The fourth came out more slowly. It was a grey she-cat with olive green eyes and a light brown muzzle.

"You did well." Mapletail stated moments after all of the kits were born. "What will you name them?"
Honeynose looked over at Grayfur, as if she expected him to say something.

"Let's name the white tom Tigerkit. And the gray tom with orange tabby markings.... Flamekit.." Grayfur purrs thoughtfully.

Honeynose nods in agreement.
"The grey one should be..." she thought for a moment. "Ashkit."
"What about the she-cat?" Mapletail asked while motioning towards the smallest kit.
"Hmm.. How about Fawnkit?" Honeynose mewed, almost to herself.

(Ashkit O_O? I thought we had a different name... But okay lol)

Grayfur licks Honeynose. "Those names are perfect."

Honeynose purred in affection for Grayfur and the kits.

*The next day*

Grayfur wakes up. He had fallen asleep in the nursery with Honeynose and the kits. He licks himself clean and walks out into the clearing.

Hazelclaw announces the patrols. "Mintheart and Treefrog will lead a hunting patrol together. They will take Grayfur and Nightwhisper." Hazelclaw pauses. "Hawktalon and Mistsong will lead another hunting patrol. They will take Firetail and Swiftwhisker." Hazelclaw finishes.
(pretend I announced the rest of the patrols XD)

Mistsong yawned and nodded her head. Her first patrol as a warrior, and she was leading it!

Hawktalon nods. He walks over to Mistsong. "Are you ready?" He asks.

"Yeah," Mistsong says and smiles. She couldn't wait to get her first apprentice.

Hawktalon leads the patrol out into the forest. "Let's split up. Me and Mistsong will hunt by the river. Firetail and Swiftwhisker can hunt by toward the marshes, I guess... Does that sound good?" Hawktalon asks.

Firetail nodded, stifling a growl. He hated being bossed around by new warriors.

Hawktalon hears Firetail's growl. He was suspicious of the warrior's hostility. He pushes it to the back of his mind. "Let's go!" He mews to Mistsong.

Firetail stalked off. He caught a vole and two fat mice.

Hawktalon waits for Mistsong.

Mistsong shook her head and followed Hawktalon, "Don't question your ideas." She didn't say any more and plunged into the under growth and started hunting.

Hawktalon purrs. "Hey! Wait up!" He mews, plunging after Mistsong.

Mistpaw laughs and accidentaly scares away the mouse she was about ot catch. She stalked and caught a large rabbit.

Hawktalon catches a sparrow.
He walks up to Mistsong.

"Should we find the others?" Mistsong asks through the rabbit and a mouse.

"Nah. I think they know to go back to camp when they are done." Hawktalon answers.

Firetail trudged back to camp, not waiting for the others.

Hawktalon sighs. He heads back to camp. On the way back to camp he catches a mouse. He pads into camp. He takes a squirrel to the queens and takes a mouse to the medicine cat's den. He quickly eats a mouse. Hawktalon's paws felt like stones, that's how tired he was. He curls up in his nest and instantly falls asleep.

Mistsong padds into camp after Hawktalon. She drops her mouse on the fresh kill pile and takes her rabbit to the elders.
